The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international
organisation run by and for people no longer in full-time
employment. The term "University" is used on the medieval
sense of people coming together to learn and to teach.
Anyone no longer in full time employment who would like to
share their knowledge, skills, experience and interests are
welcome. No qualifications are required for membership and
none are given. All you need is enthusiasm for learning and a
mind open to new ideas.
Informal groups are set up to match the needs and wishes
members and
availability of Group Leaders. Members have the opportunity
to become Group Leaders and share their expertise with
others in any other given subject.
